Transparency Act - Declaration
Vigilo AS is committed to complying with the Act on Transparency in Business and Work with Fundamental Human Rights and Decent Working Conditions (the Transparency Act). We recognize the importance of respecting human rights and promoting decent working conditions in all our business areas and supply chains. Vigilo's CEO is ultimately responsible for this compliance.
Vigilo delivers time-saving solutions for kindergartens, after-school care and schools across the country. Together with a communication solution between home and unit, Vigilo covers all administrative needs at the municipal management level, in schools and kindergartens. The company's head office is located in Karmøy municipality.
As a supplier, Vigilo AS undertakes to assess the company's diligence annually, as well as to follow the principles in line with the Transparency Act:
- Human rights:
We are committed to respecting and promoting fundamental human rights in all our business activities. This includes the right to life, liberty and security of person, equal rights and opportunities without discrimination, and the right to a decent standard of living. - Working conditions:
We will ensure that our working conditions and those of our suppliers comply with international standards for workers' rights, including the right to organize, the right to collective bargaining and the fight against forced and child labor. Our suppliers shall make available, upon request, documentation that builds on this principle. - Inclusion and diversity:
We will promote inclusion and diversity in the workplace and in our supply chains, and we will not accept discrimination. - Transparency and reporting:
We will be open about our principles, practices and results related to human rights and labor conditions. - Collaboration and improvement:
We will collaborate with stakeholders, including employees, suppliers and customers, to continuously improve our practices and efforts related to human rights and labor conditions.
In our due diligence assessment, we find that the greatest risk of Vigilo indirectly violating the above-mentioned principles is by entering into agreements with suppliers who do not comply with the principles. Vigilo mainly uses, and as far as is practically possible, standard agreements with our suppliers that incorporate accountability related to transparency and compliance. In any case, an individual assessment of the suppliers is carried out before entering into an agreement, taking into account relevant legislation, including the Transparency Act.
For employees in our organization, we have established internal channels to report potential violations of fundamental human rights or labor conditions. We take all such reports seriously and conduct investigations to address identified issues promptly. We encourage partners and suppliers to reach out with any questions or issues related to due diligence. We have open communication channels to ensure that everyone involved in our activities feels safe to raise concerns and seek clarification.
